For a week In 1974 Muhammed Ali granted David King exclusive access as he trained for the legendary “rumble in the jungle fight against George Foreman.The resulting photographs captured not just intense training, but rare, intimate moments with Ali's family and inner circle. This unique collaboration was published by Penguin in 1975 as I Am King: A Photographic Biography of Muhammad Ali. 

“I went there to photograph him and the world surrounding him for six weeks. However, let's get this straight: I was not interested in boxing. I was interested in Ali. His ability transcended boxing. He was a great artist, he had an amazing sense of humour and he was a massive inspiration to so many people. He was extraordinarily handsome. No other fighter ever came anywhere near him, mentally or physically. I can’t think of anyone who is more photogenic” - David King
